Alder King Countrywide Lettings bristol

This company breaks a lot of laws. Been waiting 5 weeks for our deposit to come back to us. Checkout list was full of photos that were on our inventory. They don’t send you signed copies of agreements, inventory, checkout list. They lie on the phone. Waited 9 weeks for a repair to be completed had massive hole in the bathroom we couldn’t shower. Is a shame you have to leave 1 star as that is to much.

Terrible experience, would give 0 stars if possible! Was pressured into signing a lease for a room in a student house as my friend and I were told we wouldn't find any other properties for students over the summer. We were told our rooms were quite private and we would only be sharing the bathroom on our floor with each other. When I moved my things into the house I met the other tenant on our floor, who was not a student but a retired man and would after all be sharing the bathroom with us. We were told this was a student house and would not have signed for the rooms had we known the elderly man who had been there for over 30 years would be sharing with us. As 2 young girls, we did not feel comfortable sharing with an elderly man and did not think it was appropriate for a man in his 80s to be sharing with 19 year old girls. We did not move in and only got our deposit back after a year with the help of a lawyer!

Evie was very helpful and personable, loved and treated my dog like another tenant. Very available and happy to help with all my questions. Great attitude, Great Service.

So far I can't say anything negative about my experience with Alder King. This is my first property in Bristol, and thankfully a positive one so far. Evie was a wonderful letting agent - friendly, responsive and prompt. Referencing was easy in the timeframe given, and everything has been smooth running. My only qualm thus far are the particularly high agency fees, but it seems a lot of relevant documentation has been provided for and the inventory was thorough. I would recommend Alder King to anyone looking for property in Bristol and the surrounding area, and I'm confident they will manage my requests efficiently and effectively going forward.

One of the worst companies I have dealt with, very incompetent. Phoned us whilst we were away to say we had a leak coming from our flat, we cut our stay in London short to return, only to find out they had got the wrong property. Held onto our deposit for 6 months for no real reason. Not even the fake reviews they are buying for this listing will mask how bad they are, which by the way is being manually reported to Google and hopefully you will receive a penalty notice from them.

Superb service from viewing to settling in, the duration of my tenancy and the check out service, I would like to thank personally Bartek who dealt with me. He provided such a professional service and kept me informed with all processes. I would highly recommend Alderking lettings.

All my interactions with Alder King and in particular Rhiannon Walker have been professional and extremely efficient. It was big a decision to let out my property, Rhiannon walked me through the whole process giving very sound advise including recommending cleaners and providing them access to the property as I was not in the area. The property was let within a couple of days of giving Rhiannon the instruction and my tenant has now been in the property for over a year – he really is the perfect tenant!
