When I arrived about an hour before Dhur prayers the dark green shutters outside 210, 212 and 214 Church Rd were shut. A man opened them and was welcoming. On entering, you come to a small area for removing shoes and the shoe racks are just inside the prayer hall. On the left when entering is a neat compact wudu area. The prayer hall is quite large and wide. On the left you see the clocks showing Salah times. Near there is a light brown and glass bookcase with neatly ordered hardback books. The carpet is a turquoise colour and looks pleasant. Before prayers people opened the windows near the front. Social distancing and mask wearing not totally in place. There were around 60 males, grandfathers, fathers, boys. Afghan, North African. The prayers were said at a slower more unhurried pace than some other masjids. A reading from the Qur'an followed. Donation boxes are at the back near the shoe racks. The overall atmosphere friendly, respectful, peaceful and calm.
