Have been going to this surgery for around 13 years now. I never really have to go in, but when I do - it's impossible to get an appointment!
Phoned up around 2 weeks ago (after being on hold for 40 minutes - this was on a Wednesday afternoon, so wasn't a considerably busy period) and asked the receptionist if she had any appointments within the next 7 days, to which she replied no? I then asked "so you haven't got anything on either Wednesday afternoon or Friday morning?" - her response was that she had a few appointments on Wednesday morning and the following Friday. Why did she tell me she didn't have any appointments then, when she did? This happens every time I phone up, which is why I dread going in. If I ever have a medical issue, I avoid going in at all costs due to the stress of having to get an appointment. Now I have been off of my prescription for 2 weeks due to the useless receptionists making it impossible for anyone to get an appointment!
Long waiting times on hold, when the receptionists never ever seem to be on the phone when you're in the downstairs waiting room?
It's a shame that the receptionists let this surgery down when the GP's I have visited over the years have all been brilliant. It just seems like they're too overrun with patients.
