Some really interesting exhibits. Permanent displays are very good. They do 'showcases' too which are changed every few months. Both floors are worth a look and when the weather is good in spring/summer you can go out on the roof (charged for separately) and see for miles. The suggested donation is £2 to see the exhibits - well worth it in my view.

Excellent source of Abingdon's History,! But no wheelchair accessible due to being an old building with strict restrictions on what is permissible. The museum would be be better suited to an accessible building, and would suggest the old council buildings behind the current Vale offices!

An amazing museum, spread over several floors in the centre of Abingdon. Abingdon is the oldest town in England & the museum has many varied exhibits, including the last M.G. Sports car, made in the town. Visitors are able to go onto the rooftop, which had amazing views across the town & countryside. Staff are very helpful & informative. Well worth a visit.

The young man and woman were very friendly and knowledgeable about the town and museum. The news that Abingdon has been a settlement since prehistory grounds the mind in a fluctuating reality. It comforts that all this has happened before and will again. What it does not explain however is the tumbling down from heaven of 70's housing onto the flood plain as a biblical punishment for some historical slight of the ancient Abingdon gods. Noddy Holder is now always linked to flooding in the mind. In future days however those same homes (and I wish all them all well) will be listed as Britain's Bland Period. Still, the town is delightful and worth a walk through.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist. An interesting and well laid-out display. Sadly, due to Covid restrictions, only one floor was open to the public. Worth a return visit to see the rest.

Great place to learn a bit about local history. There isn't much in the museum and the displays are a bit limited. But for what it is, it's decent. The top tower wasn't open when I went.
