Great Doctors, my doctor has been my rock for what l have been through the past 5yrs, its the some of the cheeky receptionist that are the disappoint to this surgery, l know they have a job to do, but some think they have the right to speak to you with an attitude, l had a bad experience with a young receptionist a few wks ago, l was a few minutes late, asked her politely to ask my doctor if he would still see me, the 15mins wasted time of no she was not going to do that, l asked to speak to somebody else as by this time l was in tears and have heart failure due to a stemi heartattack and take panic attacks, said she went and spoke to the doctor and his reply was tell her meaning me to make another appointment when l was there for blood results after being at the heart disease clinic, l have not been back to see my doctor since as l was disgusted by the way l was treated infront of everybody waiting in the main reception area. Thankyou for that experience.

Dr. Calvo at this practice is outstanding, he is by far the best GP I have visited and always goes beyond my expectations to help. In contrast, unfortunately some of the other GPs here are not so good in my experience.

Started off a great doctors and has now slowly gotten worse over the past year after many odd changes such as automated system for repeat prescriptions which now has a 2 day waiting system also whenever you actually get to see the doctor they want to rush you out the door in 5 minutes so they'll just make educated guesses just by looking at you for a minute and asking you 3 questions

Was one of the best surgeries in Paisley, now becoming one of the worse! There is neglect in their duty of care for their patients. This is because the receptionist decides whether or not you see or speak to your GP. It would be easier getting through the Third Reich than getting past these people who do not have a Doctorate. I've been told to phone my nearest pharmacy for help or if I feel that unwell then go to hospital! There are great doctors here but good luck getting to see them. You only get to see them if the receptionist decides it's an emergency ! People with life threatening illnesses are not getting proper aftercare or access to their GP. People with mental health are being told their situation isn't an emergency so call back at 8am the following day. Something has to change here, starting with the reception. They need to remember their job title, they are not doctor's. Also some of them have attitude with you if you insist on seeing a doctor. If you have attitude with them, you are struck ofthe fact that!!! In response to your reply! I fully understand how difficult these times are for the NHS in the whole of the UK. I have family on the front line. Telling people to go to hospital instead of giving them access to their GP is putting hospitals under extreme pressure. As I stated the problems are not so much with the doctor's but with the fact the reception is being allowed to overrule the doctors and nurses at the surgery. Also, patients view is seen as an attack on the staff instead of being used to improve things.

Experience depends entirely on which staff you interact with. One day you will get a receptionist who will go above and beyond to help with queries, one day you will get one who will try to rush everything so much and pretty much refuse to help and/or give you attitude. One day you will get a doctor who will hardly check anything and just say there's nothing to do and that it's viral and to wait out the issue, another day you will get one who will look deeper into the issue and say it's bacterial and/or provide medication for an issue, even though it's the same issue. This problem with different doctors checking an issue is also not limited to only viral or bacterial medical issues. While I understand it can be a stressful workplace and field in general and that a number of patients can be unfortunately abusive towards staff, staff who are not helpful should not be taking this out on other patients who have done nothing wrong and understand that the patient may also be stressed out. For the reason of this inconsistency amongst staff I unfortunately have to give the practice 1 star. If you must use this practice I can highly recommend Dr. Meighan and Dr. Calvo as they are very helpful.

Terrible place! Have to use them because they are closest to me! It's a nightmare to book an appointment! Sometimes I didn't succeed for several days!!! I've got an urgent appointment when my 6 month sun was unwell and was late because can't start my car at the cold day. My baby has a high temperature and terrible cough, can't sleep through the night and I my appointment was cancelled! Sometimes I have to wait in the reception for 30 minutes before I get in! Today I'm called to have a call back from doctor and says that they don't provide a consultation!!! when they offer a call back on the call message!!! SO I need to book an appointment again! Terrible place and staff!!! Avoid it if you can! Only one doctor is brilliant at this place is Doctor Calvo - and you never can have an appointment with him!!!!
