Went to one of their monthly lectures, this time exploring nursing in WW1. Absolutely fascinating and so well presented. The museum itself is lovely with it's own Victorian street and the cafe is also good. Well worth a visit

A fantastic addition to your visit to the Abbey it's self. Very much like the TARDIS, looking like an averaged size stone house from outside, but once inside it gets bigger and bigger, filled with wonder's culminating in the famous Victorian street. Yes somehow they have managed to fit in an entire Street with shops you can go in, unfortunately you can't actually buy anything, and an old school house. It a brilliant piece of spacial construction. Though the once famous horse had to be retired due to it being stroked to much leaving it bereft of hair A great place for the family and don't forget to pickup some old English penny's to use in the occasional oldie slot machines They do change around the displays so it's always worth a revised

It was fantastic the last time I went there I was about 10 years old. A lot of the things brought back memories, we had a six years old with us and she had a great time. I would recommend the museum to anyone of any age the Victorian looking street is well worth a visit.

I totally love this place! This is my first ever museum visit in England and the Abbey House Museum made it really special. I like the story telling that begins at the ground floor(with Victorian times) and then transforms as you go up to the second floor. You see the transition in the way of life of children, families and even music has shaped the Abbey House and it's environs. There are also really cool stuff to learn. 😊

I was expecting something bigger but I wasn’t disappointed. It’s quite small but absolutely amazing! I visited during the Halloween week and they added so many decorations around the Victorian streets. It was so beautiful! You can enter inside some shops and there are little details everywhere. You really feel like you traveled back in time. Upstairs there’s also a museum about the childhood in Victorian era. It was very interesting and nice!
