A must for those with children. Bring buckets, fishing nets, wellies or water shoes and let them play in the ankle deep clear water that runs alongside the visitors centre, toilets and cafe. The very gentle slope into the water (from the grassy area that is perfect for picnics) invites all ages to investigate and enjoy within a safe zone marked by bright bunting. Older and more adventurous explorers can venture upstream a little to the 'wilder', but still shallow area. For those who prefer to stay dry, there are lovely nature walks, one through woodland to the canal, by Denham deep lock, then back to the Visitors Centre. There is a wonderful, large play area with plenty of seating nearby to relax and enjoy! Super place for all ages.

Brilliant fun with the kids on a sunny day. Food can be a bit pricey. Ensure you bring a picnic, wellies, fishing nets and towels. The part of the river by the entrance entertained our kids for a long time followed by a stroll to Denham Deep lock.

Such a beautiful tranquil place teeming with plant, insect, bird and animal life. Many redlisted species such as water vole. How in God's name can we allow a stupidly badly thought out project like HS2 destroy all this.

A beautiful place in winter or summer but being decimated at this point by HS2 who are cutting an access road through it at least 55yrds wide, chopping down ancient woodland and killing any wildlife in it's way when there is clearly an alternative route. The destruction is criminal not least because they don't seem to have any licence to cut down trees on the wetlands

A lovely escape to the countryside and only 20 mins from Harrow down the M40. The Riverside cafe has a great range of hot food cooked fresh and some delicious cakes. Will be definitely be back to see the smiling faces.

There is no parking available here, but you can park in the colne parking area and walk to this park. It was a beautiful trail along the lake. Sunset view was good. Lots of space for children to play. There are numerous trails through the forest which was quite great. Autumn colored leaves were splendid and great to take pictures.

A great experience. Nice place for a walk with the dogs. Close to the grand Union canal so you get 2 experiences in one. Very popular as it was quite busy when we got there but still managed to find a parking place.

3/ 5

This is usually a nice park to walk through and while the weather was perfect today for a walk a lot of the paths were closed today. Apparently one of the bridges is down and while this is nobody's fault it did mean a lot of the park was not accessible today. So my three star rating is only due to the current limitations of the park. Multiple signs said the repairs would take until Dec 2021 so this may be a spot better enjoyed after the new year. Obviously still a lovely spot
