Pretty victorian garden village in West London. Surrounded by Strand-On-The-Green, Gunnersbury, Chiswick Village, and the M4. Has it's own overground station Chiswick, Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, Hogarth House, the arts and crafts era St Michael's Church in Elmwood Road, and the old Icehouse etc. Queen Anne used to make special trips in her coach to see the cherry blossom along Staveley Road. Walking through the distant and long unvisited streets of my childhood memories. Funny how One always imagines it sunny with the wisteria in full bloom. So it was simply a magnificent sunny reality with the fully flowering wisteria still growing in the same old places. Nowt has changed and yet nothing has remained the same. 😁
