Wonderful place. Good place to take the kids. Massive grounds for the kids to run around and pet friendly too. Loved all the autumn colours. You'll be surprised to see such a beautiful place closer to London.

An great place to spend 3-4 hours. The house is amazing - the furniture and decor is outstanding and rich with history. Volunteer guides do a commendable job in explaining the history behind the house. The gardens and pond are delightful. One can have endless walks here. National Trust members can get free parking and entry to the house and gardens.

Plenty of space to walk, lots of interesting views. Good car parking. Good level paths and walkways and free to visit. The house never seems to be open, when we visit. The gardens at the rear of the house and the walk around the perimeter is delightful, but unless you are a national Trust member you will have to pay for this section. The only downside really is the loud noise from the motorway and air traffic but hey, not a lot can be done about that.

Lovely park, we have been coming here for many years since in 1980s. It looses stars as the parking is very expensive unless you are a national trust member. The woods many years ago were free to explore as part of the park, they now charge to visit them too The cafe is nice with plenty of room in the courtyard and back garden
