WH Smith + Post Office – Harrow london

Extremely poor service since it was taken over by WH Smith several weeks ago. The staff will be milling about doing nothing while customers are waiting in the queue and at the self-service kiosks. I have also witnessed one male staff being rude to a customer. I have just been kept waiting for almost 10 minutes at the self-service kiosk to complete my transaction. Shape up or shipn out.

illiterate and xenophobic manager of English origin who has the most horrendous teeth in the world who was patronising an elderly south Asian Muslim customer these sort of xenophobic backward minded staff members who only defend their own people yet those people are one of the most lazy people in the world who never want to work not to mention the fact that harrow is only full of one south Asian ethnic group of people who keep picking their own community members for job roles and others suffer I feel that WHSmith could be close to going into administration I don't see it surviving much longer avoid at all costs this is due to their nasty xenophobic attitude had I been a bit more muscular then then staff member wouldn't have dared to talk down to that Muslim lady and I genuinely don't get into race issues but if you want to go down the debating line with me I am more then happy do have a political and ethical debate with anybody in the store especially that illiterate staff member sorry about that outburst at the store but sometimes you've got to be just with all not just your own kind not to mention the fact that such members of staff ought to be replaced with kind hearted and understanding staff good luck to you WHSmith you'll need it big time ! no offence

I have used this whsmith for years their post office used to be very good however they have recently took over the post office with their own staff what a massive mistake they have brought on some very questionable staff they can't even keep the self check outs running they are so slow and have no clue of what they are doing it's an absolute joke! I used this post office almost everyday so I know what I'm talking about I don't use it anymore as it wastes at least 20 minutes to post something what a stupid mistake from whsmith well with the Internet taking over their business as its waaaaay cheaper online they had to take over the post office business.... Atleast hire people who understand the basics worst post office iv been too.

There is stuff everywhere. You never really know what's around the corner. WHSmith what do you actually sell apart from the sweets you push us at your points of sale.

A mess - magazine area a mess, they never have in stock what I am looking for, and staff are simply not interested in providing any sort of customer service.

Horrible customer service experience. Impatient staff who seemed totally unconcerned about helping you. Please get rid of those self service machines and actually serve your customers! We had to ask for clarification so many times that if we had just been served (instead of forced to use self service) then we would have been done in 1/3 of the time! Self service should be optional not required. Why are we doing to job of the post office staff?

Extremely unprofessional and uncorteous lady at the post office section, forced me to open a parcel to combine it with another when there was no need and then told me she had not an inch of tape for me to close the parcel and that I would have to buy in store. This is the most ridiculous way to increase in store sales and shows a total lack of care and attention to help customers who are trying to return parcels safely during a pandemic!

Received horrible customer service today from the post office staff! The staff member in question was a middle aged woman however sadly she would not share her name. Firstly, I was yelled at to use the full Self-service machines without any knowledge of my enquires by the staff member in question. Once I was called forward there was no hello or how may I help you which is not ideal but at this point not rude. I wanted to send a card next day recorded delivery & followed instructions to put the card on the scale. After this point, the server accused me of not paying for the card (which I brought with me from M&S) loudly in front of the whole queue which was highly embarrassing. I pointed out the card was not from the shop - instead of an apology I was met with further aggression. I asked her directly why she was being so rude to me & then the employee raised her voice at me. At this point I asked to speak to the manager however she did not call for them & instead told me I was wrong and told her I needed to pay for the card which was a completely fabrication that she had made up. This was a horrid situation & was not at all handled well by the post office staff member as I was accused of theft & received no apology. The WH Smith staff were lovely when I asked to speak to the manager to get an email address in order to make a formal complaint which has duly been submitted.

Horrendous customer service! I left not even buying what I originally came for. Get people who actually want to work there or train your staff.

Update your opening times!!! The frustration of getting there just FIVE minutes after 'closing time' - when online it says another thing. Even the opening times stuck on the shop hasn't been updated. Either the opening times are the same and the staff decided to close 15 minutes early OR they are just too lazy to change important things like this.
