The store is as big as it gets and has most wide ranging products on offer for home and garden. I find that IKEA generally has got really innovative designs and ideas, but it lacks on the quality aspect. Doesn't mean it goes for everything, there are good quality products as well. Best thing about it is the instant availability of all the products including big items like sofas, beds, etc. Unlike other retailers which can only offer 6 to 8 week waiting times. The delivery costs are reasonable as well.
I would love if this had been 5* as I thoroughly enjoy walking through IKEA. Most items were sold out, the Aisle and Location info to pick up products were incorrect. I am all for saving the environment and not using plastic bags but IKEA now charge 15p for a paper bag from the food court!!! It's really not about the money, it's just very frustrating as I had bought dinner for the whole family (5 people) and they just expected me to carry it out without a bag or even closing the food boxes!!! I'm really hoping customer service will be better next time round. On a positive, the floral walls are stunning and a perfect photo opportunity for anyone on Instagram, especially the red telephone box. I was informed that it had all been done by one lady, kudos to her! Nice refurbishment IKEA!
Visited IKEA Wembley as they apparently had an item I wanted in stock that wasn't available anywhere else. I find the stock control at IKEA to be somewhat hapless, and sure enough, this figure was wrong and the item didn't seem to exist. The member of staff seemed to find this amusing? It obviously happens quite a lot! (I assure you all, if my sub 60 mile round trip was *just* for this item it definitely wouldn't have been a laughing matter!!) Not quite a wasted journey as they had other items I needed to purchase. The store is actually quite relaxing to walk around and the layout is very good. Queues at the checkout were generally short and not like the huge ones I saw at the dreadful Edmonton branch. The only negative was the obnoxious service I received from Rosaley(?) at the checkout. It's never a pleasure as a customer to be spoken to like dirt for no apparent reason, and this final impression would probably mean I wouldn't return to this branch. I normally go to Reading anyway, but IKEA definitely need to focus on staff training. Just getting them to say please and thank you would be a positive start.
I find it difficult and to get to a different areas of the store is not map out properly, there was a door that said staff only but was told by the staff to use that door.i kept on going around in circles and it wasn't just me their was other customers who was just as confused as me. I had to asked about four different staff members how to get from one area to the other areas and level of the store before I find the area that wanted. I gave it 3 stars because the staff I ask for information was very kind and thoughtful, otherwise I would have mark it down.
