My last time when I required a doctor not even a visit but a call was awful. Called early morning in, wasn’t even 9am. Answer from receptionist was that there is no available appointments left. When I said that I am in pain and I need antibiotics, all help what I received was just an advice to call back next working day, which as it was Friday, would be Monday. So for the next 3 days, instead of getting phone consultation from go and receiving medical help, which is this place should be about, all I got an advice to wait for the Monday and call in again. Do not recommend this gp practice!

Good local practice for me and our family. Been helpful on a number of occasions. Busy in the morning to book appointments that shows the NHS needs more resources, including local GP practices.

The receptionists have such a hard job, people literally come in every 2 minutes and ask them the same question about prescriptions the next day when there are signs saying exactly that! Lol they are very patient considering.

I was given a prescription that is not available at any local chemist and they would not even help me find a chemist that had it. They told me I’d have to bring the prescription back from the chemist I took it to and they would have it changed when they had time.

In these unprecedented times this surgery is going above and beyond for all its patients. The reception team have a hard job and are very helpful. Yes the phone lines are very busy in the mornings but this is the same at all doctors surgeries. It is great that you can get a same day telephone appointment enabling your medical concern to be sorted out quickly and efficiently. Texts are good and the online services. The nurses are lovely and the GPS are caring and very very proactive. BORCHARDTGP text to patients is an excellent idea. It shows caring and compassion

In these stressful times I'm aware of what the NHS is going through, and how overhauling the situation has been. However the system they use in order to get an appointment is flawed. The first come first served phone call policy is okay if you get through before they're all gone, but they're always engaged. With people using "call back when free" on their landlines, it means that us with mobile phones don't stand a chance.

most reviews on here seem harsh and overly negative. I called and got engaged tone which I initially assumed was me being hung up on, but I continued to call from 8:30-9:30 and got through. doctor called me back on the same day and I got my prescription for the next day which was very quick. all in all a very good experience and polite :)

The GPs I have seen here have been good, couldn't really fault them. HOWEVER, SOME OF the reception staff can be truly awful. To be clear - I have also spoken with some helpful, friendly reception staff here. But certainly a few of them speak to you like you're stupid and seem to regard dealing with patients as an inconvenient part of their job.
