Your nursing staff are delightful but are working against awful systems and inadequate provisions. My procedure, a minor day case, forced me to call in to establish timing, even then I only got a vague pm. I was admitted and left with 5 other gentlemen in a room with no information, and no paperwork completed, I was shown into a room to get changed that was occupied. My and others belongings were not secure during my procedure. My discharge was rushed and flustered and missed vital medical checks that are on your discharge guidance. This threatens my and others health. I watched workmen wander in and out of the rooms we were using, performing maintenance, and even had to ask for a functioning toilet. Kind and courteous staff is not enough. Facilities and procedures are essential and you appear to have none. Woeful.

3 minor operations postponed for petty reasons and the operation finally cancelled because they could not offer after care. Why take on the case in the first place. I think they only take on straight forward cases with no risks.

Inexperienced surgeon in my case. Told me he could fix the issue no problem. Totally messed my foot up, left me bed ridden for 2 weeks and I still can't walk without pain over 3 months after a relatively small cosmetic operation that he totally botched. Add to that he didn't even remotely fix the original problem. Then in the follow up he admitted he couldn't fix it and that was that. Cost me additional thousands of pounds through being off work so long because I can't walk or stand for long periods of time. Bare in mind I could hop, skip, run, jump, anything prior to surgery without any trouble. Just because its private doesn't mean its better, thoroughly research your surgeon because mine was not good atall. Was a terrible experience which I massively regret

I never really write reviews but I am getting so tired and fed up with the service from Oaklands. I had a consultation appointment back in September when I was told I would need a procedure done. Any time that I have called about this, I keep getting told "Oh in a few weeks you should hear." "We're doing dates for the next month at the moment" or that waiting times are 6-8 weeks. However, it currently is at 13. When you have to live with something, this just feels like I am being fobbed off constantly. I'm starting to wish that I didn't choose this hospital.

Unable to get a towel to shower. Short staffed. Poor food & variation could be better. If this is private care I will never pay! Black male nurse aggressive! All others very good. Cleanliness was average. Very lonely place! Surgeons & assistants excellent. Conflict of post operation instructions with staff confusing. Glad to get out. Depressing.

I had to hip replacement done and I can't fault the treatment and care I received. From reception to the operating table until I was discharged. I just want to thank Mr Batra and his team for everything. Happy Xmas and New year.

I had 2 lumps removed today one from just under my armpit and one from my arm..staff from the the reception to the nurses and then the surgical team were all brilliant and friendly...very professional...making me feel at ease..I was very nervous and was trying to hide it..during my surgery I was being spoken to by one of the team constantly which was obviously a good distraction and advised what was happening throughout. Thank you to all involved

They are very hard to get hold of, the phone answering machine is often full so you have to ring back, hold times are extremely long before you get through to an advisor. I requested an ultrasound appointment and a very rude advisor answered the phone and asked me to email which I did, after 2 weeks I hadn't had a response so I called (struggled to get through and it took a few days). Once I finally got my appointment, after waiting for 30 minutes I was advised the consultant hadn't turned up and my appointment needed to be rescheduled. Once I had my treatment, they didn't send my results to my GP and I had to chase them, again leading to long wait times on the phone trying to speak to someone. Would avoid this hospital and won't be going here in the future or recommending to family and friends.
