So upset, to find after an Xmas holiday, I went to visit my parents rose garden plot, to find all the personal ornaments and pictures etc, were removed no warning about this. I went to the section were they were all put but like looking for a needle in a haystack, terrible very upsetting to me and my family, does anyone know the reason behind this? And why were familys not informed. They had notices up about it but have been out of the country.

I have a 10year leased based plaque since 1999 on the wall in the Crematorium for my relatives. There’s also a trench to place memorial vases to place flowers for your loved ones. I bought a new heavy stone vase with the names of my family on it at a cost of £135, and placed, with fresh flowers, it into the trench as near as I could to the plaque. This was for my father’s 15th anniversary in October. I went today 18/12 to find my new vase missing. Also there was another family searching for theirs. We were informed by a visitor that removed vases are put into a alcove at the end of the wall. We went and found our vases dumped with hundreds of others. When I found mine it was chipped and the gold flower insert missing. What the hell the gardening team are doing is way out of order. I advise any family who have their loved ones cremated at Southern Cemetery to seriously think about spending any money on memorials, because they are treated with contempt. I live some fifty miles away fro there, but turn up with flowers on Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mothers and Fathers Day and Xmas so it’s not that the memorial is not used. Come one Crematorium Staff sort yourselves out, and leave the used vases alone. You can tell them by the flowers placed in them
