Nearly always only 1 cashier window open (even when there's a queue of seven or more people). The alternative Customer Service point is often not staffed and often no one available to use an office for private discussion - which is totally unacceptable when personal finances are being discussed.

I understand there are restrictions in place but there is no excuse for bad manners, I was asked why I was visiting which was to make a deposit so then told to go straight to the top of the store, there was an elderly gentleman in front of me at the counter, the assistant told him he needed to use internet banking and shouldn’t be coming to store, I can only imagine how he must have felt to be told off for wanting to pay a bill and obviously not using online banking, he left humiliated Then it was my turn to pay cash in, I was greeted with why haven’t you used the machine, I told her I wasn’t offered the option and told to come straight to her, it resulted in her colleague apologising for not letting me use the machine to pay money in as there was a customer already there, she was observing the 2 metre guidelines This lady is obviously unhappy in her job so why doesn’t she just leave and let someone with compassion take her position instead of making us feel uncomfortable banking with the Halifax
