Carey has been my therapist for the last couple of years post a back injury from work. If it wasn't

5/ 5

Carey has been my therapist for the last couple of years post a back injury from work. If it wasn't for his expertise and constant support and encouragement, I would not be as mobile as I am today. Definitely knows what he's doing.

I am reviewing Matt's mobility lab classes that he has been running online during the COVID pandemic

5/ 5

I am reviewing Matt's mobility lab classes that he has been running online during the COVID pandemic. Some background on the kind of athlete I am first; I am a retired amateur footballer as of this year, transitioning into being an amateur ultra marathon runner and triathlete; Half Ironman distance, which I have competed in two over the last year. Due to a number of injuries playing footy I have lost some of the mobility and flexibility I used to have. When I attempted to do single leg squats (pistols) lowering my leg to parallel with the ground, I could do them on my right leg fine, but I no longer had the mobility in my left ankle to do them on my left leg. I think this was due to many sprained ankles and a broken foot. After completing just two of Matt's mobility lab classes I am feeling the benefits with my flexibility and mobility, which is helping with my running and cycling. Something that I was amazed with is that I am now able to do single leg squats properly on my left leg. To be fair, there was a focus on this area in the mobility lab classes, so this result was clearly a desired result. Not only are the sessions with Matt well researched, but they are very well explained and easy to follow. Though some of the movements are difficult, it is still an enjoyable 45 minute session with the added benefit of yielding results! Though I live in Melbourne and haven't actually visited the clinic itself, if these mobility lab classes are anything to go by then I highly recommend Geelong Physical Therapy Centre, and specifically Matt and Carey. I look forward to my next session!

I've been seeing Carey for a number of years, starting with injury rehab and now ongoing maintenance

5/ 5

I've been seeing Carey for a number of years, starting with injury rehab and now ongoing maintenance work to keep me fit and firing. Carey's understanding of our bodies and the way they move is outstanding! He always seems to find the root cause of the issue so he can treat the source, not just the symptoms. Cannot recommend enough! Excellent, professional, and a great guy too 😁
