Beautiful location with proximity to the city center. Staff are courteous. Room service is poor. It's not routinely attended to even if you display a card requesting for that.

3 stars here? Haha The manager is the concierge, the concierge is the room attendant, and the room attendant is the manager. You're right, there's only one guy working there. You can't change the temperature of the shower(boiling). Insufficient heating in the rooms. No heating at all in the toilet (10 degrees at night), and no heating at all in the hotel common areas. Fantastic place to stay! Clap, clap, clap, clap

Very comfortable hotel! This hotel is situated in the a great location in Salford, especially if you are visiting someone at the University of Salford as it is almost on campus! I was given a keycard to slot into the card holder on the wall as you enter the room, this operates everything electrical although you have an actual key to lock your room door. I had a comfortable double bed in my single room, a large desk (with plenty plug sockets nearby) & a chair. I had a large flat screen T.V on the wall directly in front of the bed but you could see fine from the chair at the side. I could control the heater in my room so I could keep it to the temperature I desired. The bathroom was well lit which included a toilet, sink & spacious shower, there was constant running hot water. Directly across from the hotel is a MacDonald's which is well run with very helpful/friendly staff. This MacDonald's closes at midnight. I would recommend staying in this hotel for a comfortable nights sleep.

Get exactly what you pay for. Pros: Basic room, near ish to the town (30 minute walk to the centre) . Comfy bed Cons; Not very clean however, bad smells in the room, and the shower was luke warm. If you manage to nab a room for 50 quid or so no bother. Do not pay anymore .

The room was cold, even though the heating unit showed that it was on 29 degrees. I was born in winter time, actually the day of my stay was my birthday on 2nd December, and I can tolerate cold but had to sleep in my jeans. Also there was noone at the reception to talk to about this, as they close at 10pm. In addition to this, the water in the shower was nowhere near hot, pretty much warmish to add to the experience. I do understand that this is not the Hilton or Ritz but having such a small room warm shouldn't be considered a luxury. Otherwise clean and serves the purpose.

Great location for getting out and about. Stones throw away from the train station. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable and the room was warm. Staff was friendly. If you just looking for somewhere to get your head down and not wanting any frills, then I'd recommend it.
