Tahitian Holiday Apartments – Coffs Harbour

We loved the location as it was just a walk to the beach, clubs & short drive to the shops. Although an older style unit it was clean, comfortable & had a fully functioning kitchen with a separate lounge room, bedroom & a small balcony. Quite spacious. I'd like to thank the managers for their excellence, helpfulness & care

Firstly, the one and only positive. Nice, clean place in a good location. The staff however, were some of the rudest people I have ever met! Soon as we arrived, we played in the pool (during open hours) while our wives relaxed in the spa with our babies. All of a sudden the manager comes in and accuses us of being freeloaders and asked are you even staying here? This is only 30 mins after we checked in for 4 guests and 2 infants. Even when we told him our unit number, he continued to make us feel unwelcome. He left in a grump with no apology. My father-in-law, who was visiting at the time, went to confront the man, and his wife was in the reception. She did not think an apology was necessary and proceeded to slam the door in his face. Later that evening, as we bought our dinner in, she was patrolling the hallway with her dog. She then asked my brother and I if we were delivering food. We replied, “No, we are staying here.” She then said “My Goodness” in a very dismissive/rude tone and kept walking. Overall, a horrible experience and you could not pay us to stay here. Please save yourself the heartache and book somewhere with kind human beings.

Worst customer experience ever. I have never been so poorly treated by a holiday resort. As you can see by the owners responses to other complaints they clearly do not know how to welcome or host thier guests instead they make excuses and put the blame back on thier guests instead of trying to resolve the issue. Not sure why they are in the hospitality business if you don't like customers? My husband, brother in law and his wife and our two babies under 1 booked in for one night for a 2 bedroom apartment . They did not check the booking that was booked through booking.com. If they had they would have known there was 4 people staying and infants don't count. Yes there were 6 people for a few hours as my parents...the grandparents of our babies came to visit to have dinner together. As far as I know most hotels allow visitors to see thier guests. Instead we were accused of not being paying customers despite only checking in 30mins before hand and also being asked to pay for the booking again although the accommodation had already been paid through booking.com. We were all shocked at how rudely the situation had been handled as we had simply been playing in the pool together with our babies having a cool down after a long drive from Sydney. Our parents were not in the pool, it was open hours for swimming and we weren't making too much noise so to have the owner come out and ask us why we were there whether we were guests, asked us what our unit number was and then say that we were somehow threatening him by telling him to check the booking as he didn't seem to beleive we were guest was absolutely awful! Our father was shocked at the treatment and the way it was handled and simply approached the woman to ask for an apology. Instead she rudely refused and said that she didn't know there was 4 people and two infants staying and that we had got a heavily discounted rate for the place. Which we had paid the rate that was on booking.com and stating that there was infants under 1 wouldn't have made a difference in the rate. The whole situation was awful and it's such a shame because it was a lovely apartment, clean and tidy. Had the owners simply given an apology we could have avoided such a negative experience. Instead they think it's okay to treat thier guests this way. My brother in law left a review after this experience. Once again the response is rude and trying to make excuses for thier behaviour instead of trying to resolve the issue.

Very accomodating and helpful managers. The cleaning staff is excellent. We stayed here for 6 weeks and the room was always very clean and fresh . Facilities are great with a lovely pool and heated spa. Directly across from the beach and very close to shops and clubs. Would definitely stay again top value as well . Jann and David
