In amongst the charity shops, empty units and bargain basement clothing and accessories there are a couple of gems - a new shop which combines art and custom denimware is a highlight, as is the charity book shop where you can choose up to three books a day for free. It's due an uplift and the Maker's Market is a good start to making things more vibrant and really refreshing the feel of Sale town centre.

Despite the doom and gloom about the decline of the high street the square in Sale is still managing to hold its own. With a reasonable mix of fashion and stationery outlets you can grab some very reasonable bargains . The cafes offer good value and the food is quite well prepared . On the home front you have Wilkinson’s and Poundworld offering some great savings With plans to redevelop the area very much advanced it will not be long before the choices are much wider and the addition of a cinema will bring even more people into Sale town Center .

The Local Authority could do so much more here. The pedestrian space should be filled with stalls. Just look at the continent. Bring people in; more people would be good for the existing shops. Everything looks terribly tired and unattractive. Must do better.

It's slowly getting there with the refurbishment. Hopefully a good mix of shops will be in the refurbished units, not the usual cafes, bars etc. Sale needs some proper shops as well

I'm sure it's going to end up looking such a nice place. At the moment it's a construction site and lots of the businesses are empty.

Weirdly difficult to navigate with all the covid measures and doors locked. The accessible entrances were closed off and just overall made too complex. Will not be returning
