5/ 5

Absolutely amazing facilities! I went swimming and to stretch and relax today and I am exhausted but feel amazing. The trainer was very aware of my special needs during stretch and relax, she gave me alternative exercises to do if I couldn't take part in one due to my disabilities. She also read up on my condition before class to make sure she was knowledgeable. Absolutely amazing!!

Do not recommend, very poor communication and mostly incompetent staff bar a couple of staff members

1/ 5

Do not recommend, very poor communication and mostly incompetent staff bar a couple of staff members. I originally joined back at the end of September 2019 and I've had nothing but hassle. My first problem was by direct debit kept not being processed after the join for £1 deal. This meant often when I turned up I could not go straight into swimming or the gym because I've had talk to reception staff to straighten the issue out and fill out direct debit forms. The once when this happens is not a problem as issues happens no matter what the company. But when it takes nearly 3 months to sort out, filling out over 4 direct debit forms, consistently chasing staff and managers to sort it out then it becomes a problem. The only positive is I end up with 3 months free membership but even then still not worth the hassle. It has to be said through the staff member Oliver was great vat handling this as when he got wind of the situation he took the time to communicate with me and kept checking to see if it was sorted. Then proceeded to help further when it hadn't been sorted. Fast forward to Feb 2020 I cancelled my membership , well I thought I did. Then lockdown happens and after the facility was allowed to open again and payment was taken. I thought since the payment was taken why not give it another try, oh dear I was wrong. At the time they heavily restricted swimming times to the point where 3 days of the week there was a TOTAL of 1 x 45 mins session over the 3 days. With no evening sessions over the rest of the week either. I then went to cancel my contract due to Queens breaking the contract due to not providing the service within the contract. This was eventually honoured and refund was said to be issued after chasing managers for 2 weeks. And it was only sorted because I got another Manager involved from Derby Arena. However even though they have said they would refund me, nearly 2 and half weeks later still no refund. It has now been a month and counting trying to sort of this issue. Note: swimming times and availability has now greatly been improved so that is no longer an issue. However you could not even pay me to go back, it's not worth the hassle.
