Very quirky little place, walked around on a quiet evening and again on a very busy Saturday morning. Full of lots of interesting little shops, really feels like going back in time and the buildings are amazing to look at with their ever expanding floor space as they get higher, they also join the opposite buildings at points

Awesome old street with beautiful shops out and inside. It's charming to walk around there in the morning or even when it's dark. It's s an special place that you shouldn't miss if you visit York. Take a look of the shops, taste a fabulous traditional pork pie or even a tea in one of its tiny cafes. Also has a middle line ready for wheelchairs.

Probably the loveliest little street you will ever walk down in your life. It is such a pretty place whatever the weather and so full of character. You cant pass through The Shambles without going in the many gift shops there. I guarantee you will buy something, even if its a keepsake magnet for your fridge!
