I've been a member for 18months or so and even in that short time I've noticed the downward trend in service, cleanliness and maintenance. It maybe because they must have had a massive members drive and, for a small gym and pool, it's pretty much full all the time. Shame as it was really nice for the few short months before all the lockdowns began.

It was my favourite in Reading, however: Ruined from running the new membership drive for too long and overcrowding. Also the pool has gone cloudy due to lack of cleaning and gave me an ear infection. Many of the new members don't shower before entering to steam-room so I don't go in there any more. No shower gel in showers fir a month now. This adds to the overall shared level of higeane in the pool and shows a lack of duty-of-care and focus on priorities from the current management.

Overpriced, rude staff, old and not enough equipment. Don't think you can just turn up and swim, you can't, must book before hand (which they don't tell you on sign up) and rarely have space. Some advice - try for 1 month only then decide if it's right for you, saved me a bundle. Definitely not the place for me.

Very decent for a hotel gym, as a hotel guest is was very enjoyable and super appreciated having the facilities there. Not sure if I'd pay for it as much as they ask of members. I think the gym should be a bit bigger and newer equipment to justify the price
