I went for a massage with my partner. I had a better experience than he did. 1)We were told that we could discuss and choose which massage service we would like to have in the therapy room with the therapist. I wanted the deep tissue massage and he wanted the Thai massage. In the end we were not asked. 2) My experience: The therapist entered the room and started the session without discussing anything. I asked the therapist if she would discuss the option with me; she said yes she would discuss later because she wanted to help me relax first. She continued to massage me, around twenty minutes later I again asked so which massage are we doing? She said we are doing the deep tissue massage and a bit of Thai massage. Ok, but basically she decided that. To be fair, the massage itself was really good. I had lots of muscle tension which she really worked on. My plan was to get a more relaxing massage, even if in the end the massage that she gave me was more beneficial and therapeutic, I would have preferred to be given the option and to be asked. The therapist was really friendly and again I want to highlight that the massage was good but the communication on what the customer wants could have been better. 2) My partner on the other hand was given a therapist who could not speak English and to make it worse did not seem to know how to give a massage at all. She had no technique and no strength. It was as if she was never trained. It was the worst massage he has ever had. What a waste of £45 for a one hour massage. He was close to asking for a refund but decided to let it go. It's a pity, because despite the lack of professionalism, my therapist clearly knows her stuff. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have the same standard across their therapists. We will look for another place next time.
