DW Sports Fitness Dundee – Dundee

This gym is ok all the equipment are new (kind of), Customer service I would say normal, 60% staff are really nice, but some other ones I really don't know how they got the job, they will spend most time talking with the people they know rather than help out the people who actually needs help.. and some members are also bad ...apparently one of the people that I know his towel got stolen in the gym......Funny right?

DO NOT JOIN!!! I read these reviews and tried to keep an open mind as it was close for me to travel to. I opted for the minimum joining membership to discover they were charging me DOUBLE as they 'accidently' put me down for a top tier membership for using gyms in London as well?!? Absolute money grabbing bandits, the company is really dodgy as well. When trying to amend the membership they needed to send it to the 'head office's that never notified me of the change. I don't understand why they couldn't change it there and then, I'm still waiting for the change.... They have only sent me automated emails about me cancelling the direct debit, which I cannot afford and need to feed me and my son (I'm a single mum), and threating debt collectors. They were quite happy to phone me regularly before to join their gym but when they have made a mistake they don't seem to care? I do not ever want to go back, it's a mess of an organisation and would say to anyone thinking about joining RUN AWAY!

Gym cancelled or changed classes listed so for eg you would turn up for a body pump class that you booked only for the receptionist to tell you that they were running some sort of HIIT class instead! I had to travel by bus from work to the gym so some sort of pre warning that the class had changed would have been appreciated. Also the customer service was awful. I needed to cancel membership as I was relocating to another city, but apparently had to pay for 2 months notice instead of 1. I was threatened with legal action by staff when I asked why it was a 2 month notice period instead of 1 month as per contract

Absolutely draconian when it comes to cancelling memberships, don't get hooked in as you practically have to declare yourself dead to end your membership. Have also repeatedly had my promised PT session cancelled and rescheduled by staff over the last month, and the promised vouchers for attending the gym are not quite what was advertised. Definitely regret signing up here given the exuberant cost and would urge anyone considering it to go elsewhere.

Horrible staff insisted that I had never canceled my membership and had to deal with dept collectors on three separate occasions. As they had convently lost my cancelation from I had handed in well before the cut off to end my contract. Would avoid this company and any branched off from DW as they are a pain in the arse.
