The most fantastic night away for my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had dinner in the Cultra Inn; the food was great but a few more vegetarian choices would be nice. Great selection of drinks to choose from. The spa was lovely and relaxing. Beautiful grounds to have a walk around. Breakfast was excellent; lots of choice! Would definitely go back!

While on a business trip I used this hotel for several days. Quite honestly it was a pleasure to stay there. The staff were most pleasant and courteous throughout. The rooms were excellent, clean and quiet. The hotel facilities were perfect throughout my stay. Hope to stay again one day soon.

Culloden estate and spa is a fantastic venue for group dinners or weddings which is what we we were at last night. It has loads of different sized function rooms and ours was a medium sized for 60-80 people. It has its own bar in the main reception area with a balcony area out bar that has also plenty of seating. I've had large company dinners here at over 400 people which also has always ran really well. Lastly for any vegetarians we had a fantastic curry bean with halloumi and sweet potato. Highly recommended.

Not exactly what the wife and I were expecting. We upgraded our room as the description on the room views were as follows... Our Deluxe King bedrooms, are slightly larger than the Garden rooms, offering stunning views, with many benefiting from views of the landscaped Culloden Estate gardens including mature shrubbery plus our spring Cherry Blossom trees, which are spectacular in full bloom. You will see from the attached pictures that this is not what we got. We got the view of a roof and a number of noisy aircon units. Making the upgrade a complete waste of money. The title king room and king koil bed (as described online) would of course make you think you are getting a king bed, with the upgrade we are now up to a value of £330, so of course it makes sense to assume the King room comes with a king bed. We assumed wrong, it was just two smaller beds pushed together and told to pretend (if anyone asked) that they are a king bed, which was a bit of a let down. Directly above our heads as we lay down on our 'King bed' is what can only be described as splattered blood, I got close enough for the picture (attached) but figured any closer would have just pushed me too far (still trying to cope with the pretend king bed). The staff are very polite and lovely as you would expect. The spa was clean and spacious, however having the 12ft windows looking directly onto the car park does give it a real 1990s civic centre vibe, not good. Update from the breakfast queue.... Breakfast is a different ball game. Booked a table for 9:45 and 1 hour later we still aren't seated. There is a queue of people waiting to get in and management appear to not even have the decency to inform quests of the ridiculous wait.

Amazing location and surroundings - both the interior and grounds are well worth the visit. We had an evening meal booked in the Cultra Inn, and whilst the pub is lovely and the service was good, the food was well below par. It wasn’t near the standard of a good gastro pub, never mind a 5 star hotel. Breakfast in the hotel itself was the same - beautiful room, lovely staff, but really bland. Would be grand for a 3* but just a bit surprised. I’d definitely recommend it as a hotel to visit - great staff, lovely atmosphere, wide range of art and sculptures, great walks in the grounds and surrounding areas - but probably go and eat outside the hotel.
