On initial arrival into room it appeared clean until we dropped something under bed and found a disc

3/ 5

On initial arrival into room it appeared clean until we dropped something under bed and found a discarded alcohol bottle, 2nd room we found a sock that had been left from last visitor. Spa was unorganised and staff appeared uninterested in clients, we were asked to be ready for a treatment at a particular time and then left for 20 mins and had to go and find staff and chase up. Treatments booked in at same time but only 1 therapist working. Well equipped gym with new modern machines. Amber who did my facial was excellent really enjoyed it. Overall it wasn't a very stress free visit.

1/ 5

Disgraceful. Paid over £400 for a couples spa break for my partners birthday and was told to check in at 3pm before heading to the spa to receive a time slot for our treatments. Waiting in a queue to book in until 3.30 then headed to the spa at which point the lady on reception picked up the phone and dialled a call rather than greeting us whilst the girl next to her avoided eye contact and continued shuffling through appointment cards until directed to "see to us". Then we were told that one of our treatments started at 3pm and my partners was at 5pm. After explaining we were told multiple times that we couldn't even book in until 3 and how were we expected to be ready and in the spa by then, the lady simply offered me the final 25 minutes of my slot (despite me being fully dressed with luggage) and that my partners massage could still be had 2 hours later. How you can book a couple in for a couples spa treatment with a 2 hour break between the two. We were also told that the spa break comes with a 2 course meal in the restaurant but on arrival we were given a paper menu and urged to selec our meal in advance from the "inclusive menu" which consisted of around 4 choices. We were then offered to split the 2nd hours treatment between the two of us or to just stay for a bed and breakfast only visit. This left us at 4pm on my partners birthday trying to sort a refund and left with no plans for the evening event though we had sorted out time off work and house sitters whilst we were away. No offer of credit in compensation and barely so much as an apology. Another guest was complaining that they had paid over 400 pound and were told they couldn't use the pool.

Nice Gym and Spa. Well looked after. All the facilities were working with a Gym, Weights, Pool, Saun

4/ 5

Nice Gym and Spa. Well looked after. All the facilities were working with a Gym, Weights, Pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi. Needs a bit of TLC in some places like the locker rooms and showers are a bit tatty and old, also lots of the lockers don't work usually. But all in all a good place to visit for the money.
