Oak Dairy Bar newcastle

How anyone could rate the Oak Dairy Bar less than 5 has got me beat, this place has been a local icon for years, 1st as a Truck stop then as the entity it is today, I have been dropping into the Oak for many many years, the staff are always friendly, happy and talkative, mind you the girls don't put up with morons (the same clowns that give less than 5 stars ratings I suppose), the food is always fresh and yummy and prices excellent their crumbed lamb cutlets are the best and biggest you will get anywhere trust me. 10/10 for me

Great place for a break from driving. Rest room's clean. Good food there is also subway food as well plus petrol station. On weekends there are small market there as well. Very friendly staff.

This place was humble staff were ok, but coffee not worth the drive of the highway.

Nothing to get excited about. Adequate for a driver reviver stop.

Still the best milkshakes & thickshakes around. Big, tasty meals at reasonable prices well worth the detour off the motorway

Was just going to grab and go, but was taken in by the breaky menu. Meal was beautifully presented and the coffee was as good as it always is. Spotlessly clean. Staff are a delight and nothing is too much trouble. Why not try it out yourself...

Proper old school chips and burgers, made the way they should be, just as I remember it as a kid. So hard to find nowadays, very happy!

A little restaurant hidden from M1. We enjoyed butter chicken pie and coffee. Even the chocolate thickshake was surprisingly good.

Use to stop here all the time as a kid on the way to our holiday destination, great memories.
