Meraki Hair – leicester

The girls at Meraki are fantastic, I always have such a laugh when i'm there. Jamie had a challenge with my hair, I wanted to go red, and have extensions, which she had to lift and existing box colour and match my hair to the extension colour, her attention to detail is why is will alway go back there! Ruby is also super sweet, for the amount of times i've gone in, it's been amazing to see Jamie teach Ruby, and help her confidence grow. I will always come back to Meraki, and highly recommend!

I went to Meraki to receive a haircut before lockdown, as my two other trusted hair salons were fully booked. I decided to book an appointment with Kirsty (I generally book with director stylists, to ensure high-quality hair cuts) who unfortunately turned out to be very disinterested throughout my appointment. When I asked for her opinion, she would answer in a very condescending and dismissive tone. It felt like she rushed through the process, and was just doing another job, rather than catering to an individual. The cut itself is arguably the worst cut I have ever gotten. as it is incredibly choppy. I asked for some movement in my front hair, and she ended up chopping off an entire section there, which also is extremely uneven when comparing both frontal hair parts (see picture). The rest of the staff seemed nice, and I was greeted by a lovely girl. Other staff were chatting with their clients and receiving a good experience. Kirsty however, did not bother to chat once. She made me feel very uncomfortable. Overall I am severely disappointed and will have to wait for that section to grow back so I can get it fixed at another salon. As someone who cherishes her hair, and believes that a haircut can make a person, I would strongly advise anyone to either book with another stylist or find another salon, where the customers' wishes are at the forefront and one receives the value they pay for (e.g. Malcolm Murphy or Barry Stephen). Incredibly unhappy with my hair cut, and won't be coming back.

Excellent salon, welcoming and very professional. Ruby has looked after my hair for about a year and transformed it from a scraggly mess to a really healthy look. She always makes me feel a100 times better, lovely young lady.

An amazing salon, super professional and welcoming. I had my virgin hair balayaged about a month ago by Kirsty and loved the experience. My hair is healthy and the desired colour was achieved. Very happy about the results and excited to return! :)

Had a cut and blow dry with Mel on Saturday. She was absolutely brilliant and such a lovely girl. Did my hair exactly as I would have hoped for. Will 100% be going there again. Lovely friendly atmosphere at salon.

Amazing professionals! They explain the process in detail, giving you many options. They use remarkable high quality products. The most important is that they do exactly what you want! The salon is spotless. Highly recommend it.

I had a hair treatment, cut & finish done by Kay. She was so friendly and made me feel really comfortable throughout the appointment! Loved the interior of the place and the large mirrors. The products used on my hair made my hair look and feel wonderful. Although I didn't get my hair coloured, their Instagram photos of the colouring they've done seems outstanding. Only thing I wish is that the backwash unit was adjustable, to support my head better! But I loved the overall experience with Kay regardless

Had such a lovely experience today at Meraki. Everyone was very friendly and Kay did an amazing job with a balayage and cut for both my sister and me. We are so pleased with the results and would definitely recommend the salon to anyone looking to colour their hair!
