Really lovely walk and lots of different routes. A steady family friendly part and a more adventurous route, and just a good day out around the hills and river.

I love getting out here. I love the deer just wandering about munching on the leaves of low hanging trees, the wind whipping across the landscape, the people always smiling enjoying exploring, it's nice easy paths to walk with no bogs etc. Its just wonderful there. Lovely cafe too and plenty of parking (although to avoid paying just park on the road outside if you don't have any mobility issues).

Lovely place for a walk. The dog has to stay on the lead for much of the walk but the kids love climbing on the rocks (Be careful on windy days). Great size car park which is free for National Trust members (Don’t forget to get a ticket). Cafe is much bigger now but limited options. There are pubs nearby if looking for more choice (if not necessarily better quality). Worth a visit.

Lovely national trust visitors centre with toilets and cafe on site. Various walks available around the estate of varying lengths. Well sign posted the length indicators too so you don’t bite off more than you can chew! There are some information signs around the house and it’s history dotted around aswell. Dog friendly.

Nicely set out estate with some lovely paths to follow. The coffee shop is excellent with the usual NT high quality. The only downside is that the car park isn't the biggest so just get there early.
