Dovedale national park is a gem of peak district. Hiking along the river side, climbing rocks , exploring nature. It is a way of life and medicine for stressful life. Amazimg place. Beautiful walks and adrenalin packed rock climbing. A pit stop for all age and kind of day out.

Absolutely beautiful spot in the Peak District. We visited with a young family and everybody enjoyed the day out. Parking was easy although it can get busy. We haven't been into the house, but walked all around it. The scenery is stunning and there are many walks you can take from here. Perfect spot for a picnic too. We've also walked to the Dovedale stepping stones, which is a good 40 minute walk through the hills, but well worth it. The coffee and ice cream shop is prepared for receiving guests. Recommended!

Free parking for national Trust members, park and house are great, no inside tours as it is a youth hostel, there's an on site cafe, toilets and grounds to walk round. The walks from here around dove Dale are fantastic, we walked for miles.
