I didn’t stay at the hotel, just ordered food from the takeaway menu, my evaluation is as follows.... ...OUTSTANDING! I found myself doing a rather boring rail replacement bus service between Edale and Hope tonight and I figured I’d give the local pub’s takeaway food menu a go - I was not let down one bit. I had fish and chip and it was incredible, portions were spot on and the batter on the fish *starts drooling*. Service was 10/10, my food was ready and waiting, great price and super friendly staff. Unfortunately it may be a while before I can come back to Hope thanks to ‘rona but believe me, when I do, I’ll be coming back to this place!

Wonderful meal. The veal was lovely, not salty with nicely balanced flavours. The chicken nuggets for the kids were a fresh chicken breast and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her vegetarian nachos. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Had a lovely takeaway from the Old Hall, so easy to order and the food was delicious. Everything was really Covid safe for collection, and they went the extra mile (literally) to deliver some gravy we left behind!

We’ve popped in during our trip to Mam Tor. Food is absolute amazing, one of not many pubs/restaurants that “side salad” is not only lettuce 🤣. Very professional and friendly staff. Definitely will come back in the future. 100% recommended!
