A place of history and worship I love old churches and this does not let you down. You can feel so relaxed and at peace by just sitting and taking in the atmosphere

An amazing building. My kids love going to light candles and gaze at the beautiful stained glass windows. And the organ is out of this world.

I had a really great time visiting the Manchester cathedral back in March. It is definitely an iconic place and a must-see location if you visit Manchester. It was my first time visiting here on the recommendation from a friend, and I was definitely not disappointed. This cathedral I would say can even rival those famous ones that are in London. It has beautiful architecture on the inside and out, the colors are amazing and the atmosphere is great too. They often hold concerts with piano or organ for guests to visit. It is a great place simply to go in and relax as well or a great opportunity to find God in your life too! Even though I was there for at least an hour, I would definitely go back again and find more areas and special sections. I am not sure if they do tours or not but it would definitely be something that I would look into the next time I go. Side note: it seemed that there were a ramp or two for wheelchairs but I didn't think to look closer. You may want to contact them in advance if you have a mobility issue to find out if they will be able to accommodate you when you arrive.

Beautiful building full of history, and is one of fifteen Grade I listed buildings in Manchester. This was a parish church that was rebuilt in the Perpendicular Gothic style in the years following the foundation of the collegiate body in 1421. Towards the end of the 15th century, James Stanley II (warden 1485–1506) was responsible for rebuilding the nave and collegiate choir with high clerestory windows; late-medieval wooden internal furnishings, including the pulpitum, choir stalls and the nave roof supported by angels with gilded instruments. The medieval church was extensively refaced, restored and extended in the Victorian period, again following bomb damage in the 20th century. The collegiate church became the cathedral of the new Diocese of Manchester in 1847.

Manchester Cathedral is a huuge church and a conglomerate of churches within. But it's worth visiting. The craftsmanship is worthy of praise. During Christmas they have good lighting and nativity outside. It's lined with shops and high end brand stores just a block away. Worth a visit.

For personal reasons, I had to go in to this wonderful cathedral. It would gave been my Mam and Dads 64th Wedding Anniversary but unfortunately they passed away within 4 weeks of each other most recently. The perfect place to reflect on memories. The choir were outstanding.

Whilst at the market we visited the Cathedral. It was great to hear the singers practice and hear the organist. This was about 16.00 on 18/12/21. I was particularly interested in the stained glass windows as my my dad made and repaired them. I Don know but think he might have worked on Windows in the Cathedral.

Lovely cathedral with some of the interior still looking good. Frankly however, a visit to an Anglican cathedral makes me think of becoming Catholic or Orthodox. I went for morning prayers which were nicely conducted with tiny sermons at appropriate points (sometimes just an explanation) even the books of common worship already had the ribbons on the correct pages. The whole thing was nearly ruined by an hideous altar piece - a crude painting of family eating chips - which I'm sure they have some way of justifying to themselves.

If you're looking for a peaceful, educational and soul inspiring experience then this is the place to be. Steeped in history and with the most beautiful architectural design internally and externally, you will never be disappointed with your experience of this wonderful cathedral.
