PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE STAYING HERE: After staying for a couple of hours in this hotel, I couldn’t bare staying any longer. Bnaging, yelling, screaming, shouting, was all I could hear during my stay. I could feel coldness around me, so I asked the housekeeper to ensure the heaters were turned on,in the room I was staying in. This was never turned on and no matter how many times I asked the housekeeper and hotel assistant, this issue remained unresolved. Additionally, i felt like i was stripped of my privacy staying there, the door was completely jammed. I had the housekeeper unexpectedly come into the hotel room every few minutes for 2 hours. This was extremely disturbing and I felt as if I was being harassed consistently during my stay. When using the bathroom, there was no soap and it was dirty. Hygiene remained a persistent issue. After consulting with other guests, I quickly learnt that other guests had issues with unclean hotel rooms and potentially bugs on the beds. A couple of hours passed, and the banging, yelling and screaming began, it was shallow at first and became louder. This made me feel uncomfortable. I left my room at around 7pm to approach reception due to this however, the communal areas were pitch black. The lights seemed to be turned off by reception.I tried to make my way to reception regardless and learnt it was shut and, there were no hotel assistants available, so i realised that it was unsafe to stay in such a place with such fearful sounds and drunken guests. Therefore, I made my way to the exit, which was a difficult journey but was necessary. Also to add, the label “ Reception is usually open from 2pm-9pm”- labelled on the entrance door, is a complete lie. Anyway, I had to pass several hurdles walking in the dark to the exit doors,I had stumbled across several stairs, severely injuring my knees. I couldn’t turn the lights on as it was completely dark. When I got to the exit and as soon as I opened the door, it was dangerous as the stairs were right in front of the door and I was so close to stumbling down. The following day, I called up the hotel and explained my horrible experience staying there and I was promised a refund. This refund was never given. I felt like I deserved some sort of compensation for what I had encountered that day. I believe no individual should have to face such harsh conditions. The receptionist’s boss, named Iva, promised the refund and the hotel assistant will not allow me to speak to management. I called the hotel several times after the agreement on a refund, however, they would pick up at times and when they did pick up, they would speak rudely and in an informal manner. This is unprofessional and completely cold for the receptionist to act in such a way. i recommend no one to stay in this hotel even if it's an emergency stay. It’s honestly not worth it and a complete waste of money and can cause severe trauma.

Paid for a double room for one person, photo had a double bed and a double room for one person implies one bed to me, especially coupled with the photo, I was given a tiny box with a bunk bed in, not sure what adult wants to stay in a bunk bed but I definitely didn’t especially as I paid for a double bed. Had no milk and nowhere to plug the kettle provided in, radiator was stuck on full and there was an odd smell in the room and the shower had no soap or shampoo. Let me make it abundantly clear, this isn’t a hotel it’s a converted house in a dodgy area of Manchester. If all you want is a cheap mattress and a roof over your head for a night then it qualifies as acceptable but only just. Just get an easy hotel or a travel lodge.

We would recommend staying literally anywhere else. Like a run down hostel with only private rooms. A guest house, not a hotel. An actual hostel will provide a similar set up this but at lower cost and in a more convenient location for the city. A slightly more expensive hotel will give you a much better experience For us this felt like daylight robbery, single worst value accommodation I've ever stayed in. All the pictures are from when it was newly renovated, it is now run down and needs maintenance. The shared bathrooms are not very clean and the fixtures in the room were falling apart. There was a strange smell, a blind missing, and a large crack in the window. The room was also on a very busy main road, so a lot of traffic noise. We had to make a last minute booking due to my car breaking down and having to cancel my original hotel. We booked 3 nights over the weekend. I see that average costs are under £50 a night for a room. I could live with that I guess, but for some reason we were charged £170 for one night on a Saturday and £40 for each of the subsequent 2 nights (£250 for 3 nights). We were desperate for somewhere to stay and feel literally taken advantage of. Paid over 3x the price the room was worth. We both slept fairly well and the person on reception was very polite and friendly. But that is where the positves end. You can see that it probably once was a lovely place to stay. After a difficult first week of our holiday and our first night, we both had a cry in the morning and immediately cut our losses booking accommodation elsewhere and not staying the remaining 2 nights. Reading other reviews we knew that asking for a refund on the remining 2 nights would not come to anything, so we did not try and left as quickly as possible in the morning. I dont like to leave terrible reviews but i think its important no one else experiences what we did. Sorry...
