One of the most damaging consultants/psychiatrists I’ve ever had to see and I’ve seen a fair few... condescending and insidious.. says all the right things to rile you up then threatens to kick you out when you show even the slightest bit of anger.. the witnessing nurse didn’t move a muscle at any of this either as though this is completely normal/reasonable! On top of that, didn’t even do what they said they would and just fobbed me off with a voicemail saying they can’t do anything.... WASTE OF TIME! Made me feel like I was completely mad and questioning myself on everything that happened...

My experiences as a patient of this hospital over the past 18 years has been utterly awful. Most of the clinicians are rude, aggressive and unhelpful and do their utmost to obstruct access to treatment rather than to help. The most recent development has been to find every excuse in the book to not even accept me as a patient, making up fictitious diagnoses so they can say "not our problem" and generally being condescending and nasty. A real classic was them acknowledging that group therapy would be inappropriate for me so they were making it a mandatory requirement before they would even consider offering help; though having read some of the reviews of the help offered, I suspect I've dodged a bullet there: I've certainly seen a number of clinicians who've worsened my problems rather than helped. The latest "notice of refusal to help" was thanks to some social worker I've never heard of and certainly never met but who felt she was qualified to pontificate about my diagnosis. I'm left thinking that 1) social workers aren't doctors so she's way out of her depth here; and 2) isn't a social worker's primary function to actually speak to the person they're making decisions about? Maybe times have moved on and these are now acceptable. Also lol at the people who think I don't get to see the stuff they write just because they don't cc me. So yeah, if you expect any sort of therapy, treatment, respect, anything your GP doesn't already do, you're going to be disappointed. And if you think you are going to get a care plan, inpatient care when you need it, any sort of care coordinator... don't look here. You will be disappointed. How they have managed to get away with it for so many years remains a mystery.

Good organisational at clinical level. But poor facilities on site. No cash machines, parking meters only take coins. Canteen doesn't accept card. In 2017? Cmon.
