Holy smokes if you like museums then you have to go here. I was like a kid in a sweet shop! I'm not going to spoil it but that have dinosaurs!! I mean I thought only London had them but no there they are. Again, on several floors but have lifts. Also free to go in but please donate, it's so worth it. As you can imagine it's kid friendly but also for those without kids (like myself) it's a wicked place! Lots of information about each item, various workshops too for kids. A small shop inside that's not overly priced. You can take photos but flash off. It's a reasonable size and the park and ride make it so easy to get to. It's also within walking distance from the city without wearing you out. Please visit this place!

The architecture from the 1860's is jaw dropping and most superb. The collections equally so. There are 98 columns around the 1st floor balcony each of which is unique. Comprised of a different rock formation from around Britain. Inscribed in a Gothic font. Sculptures of men of science line the outskirts on the ground floor. Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton..

Awesome visit. A small but cozy n compact museum, all things very organized. Give children good exploration experience on everything about natural, can add some simple fun activities for children to help them understand those natural easily. Timber n forest conservation are too little. But the exhibited info are goods though. Have a few fascinating fossils and Stan is interesting. Will recommend visit with children.

Absolutely outstanding! Do you know what is the most common crystal? In which part of the world sea shells are still used as currency? Answers to these and many more explained in basic terms. A must visit place if you are looking for an experience with kids and family. Free and fun with family. The souvenir shop has reasonably priced genuine crystals that can be brought.

Amazing place for kids and adults alike, a beautiful building full of interesting and exciting items, lots of dinosaur related things (hence the nickname the dinosaur museum) and also insects upstairs, a live beehive, a lovely little cafe and it's all very accessible to wheelchair users. Also attached to the Pitt Rivers museum, another fantastic (tho more dark and creepy) museum. Would absolutely recommend for a good afternoon out especially in bad weather.

An Excellent museum, great collections. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fantastic alternative to the hustle and bustle of a London museum. Still has dinosaurs too so great for the little ones. Would highly recommend. Also it's basically two museums for the price of one as you get to do the Pitt Rivers museum as well.

well thought-out range of displays. Really accessible information without overloading. Absolutely amazing cafe. Max and his colleague made sure it was a really enjoyable and healthy lunch. Pitt Rivers museum was a bit overwhelming after everything in the main museum so will be back to do that again.

We went in to warm our hands but then discovered it was also a nice place to look around with your eyes. Can’t touch the otter without being told off though. I wonder how often the cleaners dust the dinosaurs and if they need special training to do it?!
