Was looking for somewhere to have a classic Sunday Roast and was delighted with the choice! They offered a variety of options and were also able to compliment a cheeky request of mine to have both beef and pork. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious 👍

Firstly, the food and beer were both good, albeit a little expensive. Service however was dreadful, it took over half an hour to get a drink. They were short staffed but one course took about 90 minutes. Presumably because they were closing the next day, there was no heating and it was very cold.

What a shame, we've been so many times before and it's been perfect but not today. We arrived and they didn't have any record of our booking. Had to wait for ages just to be given a menu and the food was nothing like it used to be tastewise and it was also cold. Felt sorry for the waiting staff though, don't think there were enough if them and they were struggling to cope

On Christmas Day we were warmly welcomed &offered warm mulled Punch, then shown to our table. We were escorted along a route past many alcoves, attractive and comfortable. The service was friendly & efficient. Each course was perfect and hot, delicious food. We both chose crab for starters, both selected Devon Lamb, especially flavoursome, then enjoyed desserts. For myself Eton Mess - all I coukdmanage by then. My friend selected Christmas pudding. It looked wonderful. Tho it was a trek from Plymouth we were both delighted with our visit to the Blue Ball, Sidford!

What a lovely place to stay, eat and hold a function. The landlady and landlord couldn't do enough, were very attentive. Beautiful rooms, well equipped. Food was lovely. We held a wake for my mother in laws funeral there today. Wonderful buffet, more than enough food for everyone.
