Stayed as a family group in a lodge. The one we had was a bit tired but everything was clean and tidy. The course is very interesting. With lots of tee variations. When you are on the course you are not often aware that there is a hotel near. Lots of tree lined holes and water comes into play more often than you think.the staff were very helpful under these odd conditions. Food was fine and service. Being over 70 I think a buggy will help next time I play there. Thankyou all

4/ 5

Quiet hotel, nicely surrounded by golf (though we do not play). Big area of moors nearby - very good for walks or morning run. The staff is quite professional and helpful. We had a long delay for breakfast due to cancelled competition and unexpected crowd, but we were cared for and not forgotten. The restaurant and the bar are basic and located in a separate building. Under the rain or in cold weather you have to be properly dressed to go there. SPA is basic and fully booked in advance (though they have details of very good private physio)
