The Reading Room Restaurant

Lovely restaurant. Excellent tasting and beautifully presented food. Staff were smart and very professional. Service was superb and staff were discretely attentive. Not cheap but good quality for the quality of the food and wine. I was there for a weekday birthday lunch and it was not crowded. Reasonably well sound attenuated which is important for me because I have a hearing impairment. I could have a conversation because the background music was subdued and not intrusive. Highly recommended.

Good food. Order for table and it keeps coming. Might take a bit longer for Hoppers, but they are worth the wait 👌

Not the best experience overall though the food was very pretty and I'm sure the main course would have been hot if we could have eaten it hot and not have to wait for one person's meal. Makes a mockery of ordering in advance when they can't get it right.

Fantastic food. Service was quick and friendly. Excellent choice of cocktails.

Good gin and tonic, quiet setting for being able to have conversation.
