I would highly recommend this pub. The staff are absolutely fantastic and always greet you with a friendly smile. It's so nice to see this nowadays when so many places you go cannot be bothered to give you a decent service. Whether you are popping in for a quick drink or for dinner the service is exactly the same from the staff.

When I went to ask if my board gaming group would be able to meet on a Thursday evening, I received a positive reaction, although was advised to pop in and see the landlady. The following week I did just that and came away with a real buzz due to the friendly reception and enthusiasm for our small group to attend each week. As a result of the welcome I have also taken my family along for evening meals and highly recommend this amazing local public house. When our group first met, other patrons enquired about the games being played as did the management and bar staff, again feeling really welcome. Anyone either wishing to to go for a good meal or a welcoming drink, then the Green Man is the place to go. If you fancy coming along on a Thursday to join our group for a few games then you would get a double welcome from us as well as the friendly bar staff.

This is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and it would be my regular if it wasn’t for the rude and obnoxious landlady that runs it. To top it all off I’m now laid up with covid because she was throwing her weight around the pub Christmas Day with a positive of test behind her back. Thanks!! 😡
