Staff were very good, food was well presented and tasty, only disappointment was being charged for drinks we didn't order or receive. Yes it was my own fault for not checking bill at the time and I realise it was a very busy time and the staff were under pressure. I was in a hurry to pay bill before our guests could get near it. You live and learn. Yes I would recommend this place. Great atmosphere .

All the pubs in Edinburgh will have a “live music” sign out to lure tourist in. For the the whisky bar however it turned out to be quite the understatement! I sat alone at dinner in a pretty cheery atmosphere before the music started, enjoying a great chat with the most welcoming locals and waitress. Then the music started and let me tell you, non of the others pubs could even compete! A few minutes in and every single person was clapping, dancing and singing!! I think is fair to say that it was one of the best night I had in Scotland!

Loved the vibes and the ambience. The whiskey cocktails were fab and left you wanting for more. The food was perfect - the Salmon with cream sauce was divine and Whiskey burger was scrumptious. The only improvement area will be the portion size of the fish cake we ordered for the starters - for 9 pounds the portion size was small and felt it was not value for money (taste wise it was fab).
