5/ 5

I have been coming to the Blue Boar for over 15 years. It is the most wonderful salon, very relaxed and friendly whilst also providing the professional service and advice regular clients require. As my hair has aged along with me, they have kept it a warm colour which looks so natural and glossy that gives no hint of 'colouring' at all. It is beautifully cut and I couldn't be happier with the results. They are always so welcoming, with a lovely hot drink; I just sink into the atmosphere.

My first visit today but absolute heaven! lovely reception, welcomed and not kept waiting. Beautiful salon, with basins that actually come to you! A friendly, positive and happy stylist who spent a good 10mins discussing my ideas and my hair type and recommended a good conditioner for my dry ends. Massage at the basin and lovely fluffy towels and a magazine! Really happy with my cut, and even got a few tips on how to blowdry my curls. Even discussed possibility of colour in the future. Just felt complete trust and relaxed with the stylist, had a good giggle, and left feeling really positive. I showed my new hair off to all my friends, 2 of whom have booked already with blue boar! thank you!!!

Interesting layout lends itself to being Covid-friendly. Donna went to a lot of trouble to find out exactly what I wanted, and made sure I had realistic expectations of what could be done. Will definitely be back.

The salon is tucked away down a little Alley in central Oxford, it's a little hard to find but its near a pub called the bear. I was recommended this place, as I had got fed up of going to salons where the stylist didn't listen to what I wanted. So I thought what the hell, time for a change and booked in with Sam. I arrived on a Saturday morning and the salon was already busy, although I was seen on time. Sam really took the time to listen to what I wanted and whilst she made suggestions she never pushed anything, making me feel in control. The result was one of the best cuts I've had. I'm so chuffed to find a local hairdresser that fits the bill. There are not cheap certainly the higher end of the pricing spectrum, but in my opinion certainly worth it. I'm so happy I'm going to ask Sam to do my wedding. One point to note, they don't accept cards for payment just cash and cheque.
