Only stayed for one night, but we can't wait to go again, we just wanted to try our new tent and as this place is fairly local it was ideal, but it felt like a proper holiday, lovely friendly owners, toilets/showers spot on, village up the road with a pub, and naburn lock and marina over the road from the caravan/campsite, has a bar and restaurant, and all surrounded by gorgeous countryside

Lovely well maintained site. A bit expensive (£25 without EHU), but beautiful new toilet block with hair drier. Nice and quiet and very handy for Sustrans path to York. Friendly welcome and rural setting. Choice of hard standing or grass pitch.

Excellent spot adjacent to York marina and short walk into village of Naburn. Well set out pitches that have electric and water and some have picnic benches. Could leave car at site and do walks in surrounding area or get bus into York.

Lovely quiet campsite, not too big. Very clean showers and washing up facilities. Received a warm welcome from Andy who was out cutting the grass. Short walk to the marine for coffee and cake. Dog friendly pub in the village. Would certainly recommend this site.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Poorly run by a miserable, rude and ignorant old man. To the owner - If you hate people so much why invite them onto your land? Oh yes, for the money. It's just greed with this guy. Absolutely zero customer service. If you find problems with the facilities (and in my experience it's likely you will) don't expect any assistance off the owner. In fact don't expect anything other than a frown, some grumblings and a bill. This place has an aura of misery, which I imagine follows the owner wherever he goes. I'd understand if he at least had something to be miserable bout but in our case it was absolutely unwarranted - there was no need for him to be so rude to us. At all. Clearly the other guests have spotted this too. Not ideal for a holiday spot.

We stayed here for two nights in our motorhome. Welcomed by the new owner who has been working hard for the last six months., which was evident. All newly tarmaced and massive pitches really clean and tidy grounds with adequate lighting at night. New toilet and shower blocks spotless. Walked along the cycle path to designer Outlet took about half an hour. Blacksmiths Arms 5min away really friendly and great food. For breakfast we went to the marina cafe 2 minutes away amazing breakfast with lovely views over the river. Bus stop into York just outside. We will be back again definitely recommend this place. Only one small negative is that you have to pay for any electricity you use over £3per day
