This is a small branch in the Westgate Centre - the main shop is in Broad Street, which is about a 10 minute walk away. The shop is bright and cheerful and the staff are friendly and helpful. The stock is limited but up to date and varied - you can order which doesn't normally take long to arrive. The children's section is very good. I bought some cheap, good quality Chrismas cards in the sale. There was also a selection of greetings cards. Look out for special events, book signings etc.

Excellent customer service! Returned a book that I had bought online (was bought it twice over Christmas) on a National Book Token. Super-helpful lady in the Westgate shop last night took the book for me, assured me that she would ring up online customer services for me today and get the money put back on the token! All done by midday today! Thank you so much...that’s why I love Blackwells :)

A great small bookshop within the Westgate. Ideal for hunting down a new read or looking for a gift

5/ 5

A great small bookshop within the Westgate. Ideal for hunting down a new read or looking for a gift. The children's corner provides space for children to try / read books with parents and is useful in evaluating whether the child will actually enjoy the book or if they just like the cover. Activities are also provided which act as a nice break for young children from a day of shopping.

It's what you'd expect from a bookshop in the heart of a busy shopping centre, lots of gifts, a few bestsellers and an extensive children's section but for more variety you should hear towards their main shop in Broad Street

While it's not a patch on the main Blackwells so in the Broad the bookshop in the Westgate is a welcome oasis in the consumerist mayhem of the shopping centre. Noticeably good selection of children's books
