5/ 5

This place is my favourite place to take small children. Whether it is for cushion concerts or for Winnie's Christmas Extravaganza - the space is small enough to not be intimidating, large enough to make it feel special and the accoustics are good enough to not echo small children's whispering too much!

It is a curious building made for music recitals with a stage big enough for two grand pianos. Curious because the inside is square but the outside is not and the gallery has room for just one row of people. It is of course, being situated within the grounds of Magdalen College next to the river amongst large trees, a very pleasant and peaceful place to appreciate music and other intellectual pursuits.
