This place absolutely lives up to the hype. Excellent service, the perfect balance of simple food that is expertly done and at a price that (for Oxford) is surprisingly reasonable. The Grilled cheese sandwich is a standout, in a menu that doesn't have any filler, so you won't go far wrong whatever you go for.

Great little bakery with restaurant quality bread baked on site. Also have a range of fresh cookies, buns, pastries and sometimes sandwiches. The pizzas on Saturday are fantastic. They also do some interesting pop up nights for tasting menus and bread making classes.

Best bread in Oxford. Totally worth your while. There is not a lot of space inside, only three tables. Definitely must try the seeded country loaf and the cardamom buns. Amazing!

I love this bakery. They are strict about selling only sourdough; I find it much more digestible than normal bread, and really delicious. They also have a wine licence and sell good quality cheese, and you can get a coffee in the shop... what's not to like?

Really lovely breakfast. Slightly limited but delicious menu. Chose the bacon and egg sarnie and Hamblin breakfast between two of us and every bit of both was amazing. Happened upon this place by chance and thoroughly enjoyed it. 2 small frustrations- no decaf coffee, and a loud pinger kept sounding throughout the time we were there (presumably to remind chefs to take things out of the oven) but that was slightly annoying. But generally we really liked this and would recommend.

Okay. I realize you're more interested in photos of the delicious breads, cardamom buns, pies, tarts, cookies and cheeses offered at Hamblin Bread, so I'll add some soon and rewrite this review. The most important thing is to know that Hamblin makes the best bread in Oxford. Their Country Loaf is really really good. The correct level of moistness inside and a great crust.

I thought bread was only amazing if you went to France, then I went to Hamblin. This is the best bread I've had. Get the Oxpop to start and explore from there. Everything is amazing.

Amazing bread, sandwiches and sweet pastries. All made with love, passion and skill. Using organic ingredients and working with local farmers. My favorites are the Ox Pop bread and the custard buns, but everything is delicious. Make sure you visit here if you are in town!!
