I used to use Amy Nails a few years ago but stopped using them when I moved away from the area. When I moved back last year I didn’t hesitate in returning.
Comparing their work with other salons I used I can confidently say they have more choice in services, colours & designs.
People say about staff not engaging ….. I have been to salons all over, including Hawaii. Please be aware that staff in the nail bars can find it difficult to communicate full conversation as English is not necessarily their first language. Ask yourself, how good is your Vietnamese for example? Please remember this when reading reviews about communication. Engaging works both ways. I always engage with the staff and owner Amy, and we always have a giggle.
They are always accommodating when I turn up without an appointment (my work makes appointments Difficult). They are welcoming, friendly and always on hand to help with choosing colours & designs etc. They are patient and never complain if you mention something you’re not completely happy with. Whether that be nail shape, length or colour.
Pricing in comparison to other places, I find to be fair. They also offer student discount.
I work in retail and get many many compliments on my nails. Not just from women but lots of men also. I never hesitate to tell people where I got them done if I’m asked.
Whenever I’m reading reviews of shops / hotels / restaurants etc I always go with what the majority of people are saying. Also how recent are the reviews. There are more excellent reviews than bad on here so I would recommend using that as your guide.
Good luck !
