Good university, great teachers and lovely people
Run Away from this place, if you don’t want to lose your money and time. I studied for a foundation degree in business management but never received any sort of degree for it. After summer was over, I waited and I waited hoping my degree would come through the door after I paid them £12,000. September came, I needed my foundation degree badly. I had to have my degree to do the final year. So I called the ESC to see what’s going on? They had no idea where my qualification was. I called up Brighton university (they did not know about me at all) I mean what kind of institution does not know about you. Basically I flashed 12,000 down the toilet. After all the stress they gave me, ESC and Brighton University decided to give a Mickey Mouse paper stating that I have completed my studies. The piece of paper is not A DEGREE it does not confirm my studies or my studies in business Management. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. What an absolute awful experience I suffered, as a result of my choice. A Bunch of unprofessional, disorganised people with not any sort of leadership or accountability are running this place. RUN AWAY FOR YOUR LIFE NOW. I hope you burn in HELL.
Brilliant place. Lots of interesting people.
This is a work in progress, a construction site, there's little, to nothing, being taught here.
One of the only redeeming points about this campus is the reception desk who has been the most helpful person other than one or two tutors on my course (fine art). It took 2 months of back and fourth between multiply people at the uni before I even got my uni card, which you need to get access to certain places in the uni. The course does NOT allow you for use of the other art and design workshops, for example I wanted to use the jewelry workshop and the textiles workshop. as a fine art student you I personally believe you should be able to specialize in what ever area you wish. One of my peers was also told that if she wanted to switch course it was best to stay on this course to have a chance on getting in only to be told that the course in now oversubscribed. I also requested to changing course which I was told that I would also have to finish the work before even requesting to join a new course to which I was met with a completely different opinion from another staff member saying that wasn't the case, that I could have applied but still done the rest of the work in the mean time so when I did request I was also told it was oversubscribed. So I am now left in the difficult decision of either continuing on a course which doesn't really fit what I want to do for another 2 years or dropping out. The disability team has been very helpful though which is a merit.
After a bit of a sticky start with the accommodation department, its all steam ahead and hopefully the art course will be good
Don't live here but delivered here. Absolute nightmare to find anything. Partially due to still being a construction site, partially because the lighting at nightime is not worth the effort. Clean and tidy. Staff on reception are helpful
UoB City Campus is a building which purpose is to host a variety of lectures for Brighton University students, specifically art students. Each floor is dedicated to a different year group.
Education facility for art students. Great exhibitions and events here with cafe and theatre
