This college is a little out of the city centre but it is definitely worth a visit. The brutalist architecture and iconic dome stands out from the other colleges. There is a huge courtyard within the modern building with a water feature which is good to hang out in. There are art exhibits inside the building too which makes this place interesting to visit.

One of my favourite colleges in terms of its architecture. Coming from Oxford, I must say people have the wrong concept that Oxford/Cambridge is all quaint and there are no modern buildings. Murray Edwards is a coherently built modernist gem. But, I gave two stars because the people there are exceedingly arrogant and rude. I was told very bluntly to check out at 9am and requested politely if it’s possible to postpone one hour because I had an important interview. I was told NO and the porter’s tone was super rude and blamed me for not checking the info carefully online. I was absolutely shocked by the lack of compassion and basic care!

Been here for attending conferences two times in two years. Once we had no breakfast because we were the only guests and they forgot to tell us. Catering during the conference is ambivalent. Sometimes great food and sometimes bad, way to little and the stuff sometimes is great and sometimes slow and not attentively.

3/ 5

Lets face it. Murray Edwards isn't the prettiest college in the whole of Cambridge and, unfortunately for some, it is women only. It's alright though, and they have some nice flowers. If you are a tourist, probably one of the last ones to visit.
