I am living in Roath for 5 years. I had lot of leg operations therefore I can't change this place because this is closest to my home but I always hated and I am still hate this system what is going there. The receptionist are rude. Except one. They are not really looking up about appointment even if you ask for 2 weeks time. I had abdominal pain for a year and they still doesn't know from what. I got thrombosis because they gave me bad contraception pill. We are trying for baby for 3 years now and we are still on waiting list. But yes, the doctors are kind just that won't heal me. So if you have a chance don't register there. We will move soon and then I will have new GP as well. All the best.

I was a patient here for 16 years, and on the rare occasion i needed a GP it was a pain to get through but usually could get an appt. 2020 came and it became impossible to see anyone unless you were sat home and able to wait all day/week for a call. Majority of reception staff are obstructive and rude, and wont go out of their way to help anyone. When challenged, they hang up on you. I changed to a different surgery and have had no issues at all accessing amazing medical advice for long covid, via helpful and polite reception staff. Roathwell didn't use e consult and were still trying to run the surgery with a dated system that doesn't cater for everyone. I wonder how many sick and elderly people aren't accessing the healthcare they need. Avoid!!

I would give no star if possible. Standing outside surgery for over an hour to go for appointment arranged with doctors. Everyone else where invited except my iLL partner. Gp was knew that we are waiting outside as we informed straight away, when we came in. 9 people were served before us. When I called receptionist she told us to wait. Service is beyond acceptable standards. Rude rude and once again rude! Doctors kind but receptionist awful with bad attitude.

Decent Doctors. Have no idea why people say they call hundreds of times. You can just queue on the line takes me at most 20 minutes of queuing. The receptionist can be a bit upfront but I've never had an issue, you don't need to go into detail. How they have dealt with Covid has been a miracle, I see people try to get in, ignore all signs then yell when they get told the protocol. You can't blame the Doctors, receptionists or anyone for you being entitled.
