Fantastic service! I had some problems with booking my appointment but lovely Alison sorted it out for me! The results came back to me in less than a week. If I ever have to use private health care again, I'll definitely use Spire!

I’ve been a patient here for a few years and the place is really good. Spire somehow seem to get the bills wrong quite a lot though!

The hospital is lovely, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff were exceptional, especially the nurse looking after me after my operation. I was in a lot of pain and she made me feel so comfortable and at ease and showed genuine concern, and kept chasing up more meds for me. The toilet was a little dusty but I was in and out in a day so not too big a deal. 100% recommend this hospital.

£200 for a consultation where the doctor spent a good chunk of the time looking up stuff on his phone. Tried to get us to pay for a 'special' ultrasound at 10x the price.

Initial visit was pleasant, facility very clean, seen very quickly. After-care is pretty shocking. Reception aren't very knowledgable, called for blood results and passed pillar to post. Spoke to the practise manager for my consultant, they couldn't have been more helpful and apologetic although they too received pretty useless information from Spire. Called the medical records department, said I needed a specimen signature, ID and utility bill to access?! My GP hasn't had these either. Shame when you pay in excess of £1000 for the treatment and for all they know there could be urgent results.

The clinical staff are kind. Admin, however, is SHOCKING! I have had to chase endlessly for confirmations - emails probably into double figures and several phone calls. Then today, for a procedure on Tuesday, I was emailed demanding payment. Despite the fact that I'd not been advised I needed to pay prior to the (minor) procedure, OR even had confirmation of what the payment was! I then, at 3.30pm (so only one full working day before my procedure) I was finally sent the cost. This was £1,272 more than I had been told. So, a fair amount more! Someone (very nice) rang me & said sorry, that they were using a new system & were behind etc & that normally they would give 7 days to pay but it was 'out of their control' and so still needed paying before Tuesday. So, even though is is not my fault about their new systems not working, there are no allowances made for this - they should still honour the 7 days notice. They were also unable to give me a breakdown of what the hospital costs were. And, for the follow up appointment that is included in this, if you do not need one, they then won't reimburse you for the cost of that. So, it is included but if you don't need one (and in my case I don't as I have been referred on to a surgeon), they won't take the cost off, they just keep your money for that portion of the bill! Why not? Where does that money go to if you don't need a follow up? So, bearing in mind all of the above, this is a really bad and disrespectful, way to treat people. To be honest, I expected (much) better from going private and instead, it is making it much more stressful.

Fantastic service from this facility. Every aspect from initial booking in until surgical procedure was first class. Staff were amazing. Could not ask for more as everything is catered for and first class service from all. Thank you for everything you have did for me to make me feel more human again. Special thanks to Fiona who looked after me before and after procedure.
